I don't know if it's the intense pain in my shoulder or his stare, but something sends a shiver down my spine. I have now extended to my full height and look up to realize this guy is towering over me, not looking too happy. I become aware of our close proximity and take a step back, averting my eyes from his intense gaze. 

I clear my throat and fumble with the edge of my apron, looking down as I say, 'Sorry 'bout that.'

I hear no response. I wait a moment, then I look up and he's gone."
