Elizabeth Harper is the daughter of a wealthy farmer on a small colony called new earth located on one of the many Red Dwarf Star System. She her self owns her own ship and runs her own successful delivery business. Elizabeth has nothing against the Kotep race, or the family her family partners for shipping. Her issue with the situation is that values her freedom to much, she is not a prize the Kotep named Morin can hold on his arm and that is exactly what he wants.

But when Elizabeth runs into trouble delivering a parcel to a shady part of the system for an even shadier Terkan alien named Jorg Mandal. Prologue: Earth has found out they're not alone in the universe. An alien species have contacted Earth, giving them a chance to be protected by the aliens out there that threatens the universe. They inform them that there are in fact thousands of alien species out there. The alien race, who calls themselves Opsidians, offer Earth a chance at competing in the Games, a televised reality competition game they host. In order to win the protection, Earth will have to send a tribute to the Games. They know little to nothing about the Games or these alien species. But after consideration, they don't see the harm in sending one. And realise it might be their only chance.
