NOTICE: You should read "The Lottery" by Shirley Jackson first. Her short story written in a local newspaper, quickly gained popularity as it was a shocking story for the time. She wrote it in 1948 to make a statement. Highly recommend.:) My story Reaper's keepers is a "prequel" to "The Lottery" based in the 20's. It depicts in detail and 20's slang how the Lottery came about, and thrilling characters to interact with. To uncover the dark mystery of what Shirley Jackson wrote. DISCLAIMER: I do not in anyway know Shirley Jackson personally, this is my interpretation of what could have happened, to put a modernized exiting spin on the famous story. This is fiction.:))
