When Betty is kicked out of her own home, she has no where to go. Heartbroken, she realizes the only place she can go is the streets.
One day, a boy named Jughead passes by and sees her alone and cold. Jughead decides to take her in, and have her live with the serpents. Jughead, being the serpent king, is allowed to bring whoever he wants into and out of the serpents.
He typically doesn't date, because he believes it's a distraction from the serpents. But with Betty Cooper, it's a different story.
