This is mainly the original comics in story format, but with one character's early off panel choice from before the comics started changing how and where he acts for the entire story. Follow the freedom fighters and their mysterious ally as they fight the insidious Dr. Robotnik and his forces.

*Warning* Not all Cannon characters will act Cannon in this AU due to choice made by character mentioned above. Figure it out before I reveal it and I'll mention you and your oc in a later chapter maybe. :P
*Warning* Some characters will also use curse words as they get older in story, but maybe not. We'll see how they go. Some will also be traumatized and might undergo some trauma while in story, you have been warned.

Eggman disowned Metal and called him useless before firing the cannon. But Metal chose to take the Chaos Emeralds when the portal became unstable and turned into a black hole. While grabbing the Ruby, Metal Sonic sacrificed himself to save the world, making everyone believe him to be gone... However, they did not know that he was sent to an alternate dimension, where he would begin his new life becoming a hero in the SMG4 universe, proving he will be a better hero than Sonic.

Sonic and all of his friends all started out as some cell. All different and built with different atoms. Growing in tubes, inspected, and observe for testing. Of course there is no harm to them whatsoever. The scientists take care of them, they all act like family, no harm... and especially no suffering. Until there is a new CEO of the company, everything changes... is it for the better, or for the worst? Read to find out! (Note I do have slight depictions of them maybe being romantic, so please do not get on me for anything. This is also not a fully shipped base story. Quin and their partners find themselves in a world of their very imagination, but all goes south after Quin escapes Nightmares shell, Nightmare somehow being dysphoria humanized, and finds out everything isn't so happy and bright in their imagination. Her very creations seem like they'll be her downfall, and everyone soon learns Quin isn't the only one in control anymore. Soon they shall find objects that can mess with the various universes, and thing's shall slowly worsen once again. Soon, time will tell whether this new and unpredictable multiverse will fall just like the previous ones.

Despite no longer afraid to be themselves it does not change how the world truly feels about them. The Freedom Fighters are nothing but hideous freaks. They know this. They are still held back by their past traumas that keep them from being able to move on and become better. Not only that, new threats and dramas keep popping out of nowhere and just make life even harder. Sure, there are no demons in the story this time, but everyone still has their inner demons. No one is free from despair. Try as they might to change things, it will prove overbearingly difficult and could tear them a part for good.Complete
