His father had warned him that he didn't want to know the consequences is he wasn't sorted into Slytherin. Now it seems he was going to find out just what those consequences would be.
Harry Potter alternative universe where Draco is sorted into Gryffindor, disowned by his family, taken in by the Weasleys, becomes best friends with the Golden Trio (now Quartet) and eventually falls in love with Hermione.

The Scars That Haunt Me
What if Harry wasn't the golden boy everyone thought? What if his world of Hogwarts changes forever? Harry Potter was excited for school to start for his fifth year. But can a pale, blonde haired boy change the way Harry sees himself? And can Draco pull him out of the ground before he gets buried? This story will only follow a few things from the original book/movie. Umbridge is there, Harry still gets a lot of detentions from her, and his nightmares continue. Sirius will not die at the end of this and Harry and the rest of the gang don't end up going to the ministry. Sorry if that's a buzz kill, but I wanted to focus more on drarry and how Draco helps Harry over come his personal demons. Warning!!!!
