A crazy project to bring back the dead, hidden government secrets, and a psychopathic god have about as little in common as this group of kids from various backgrounds, other than the fact that they distantly have a connection to the others. A nerdy writer, a con artist, a fighter, a simple party girl, and a worker with a hard life soon find themselves drawn into an adventure they would never forget. Soon they find themselves running from a killer with no obvious weakness, one who can survive bullet wounds and change more than his shape to get what he desires. Right now he's playing a game like a cat, but these youths will need to find a way to stop this madness before the killer decides the game is over.

Told by shifting perspectives between the main characters, soon it can become difficult to tell who can be trusted and who is against who as all the secret sins are revealed. God doesn't need yo use mortal weaknesses to divide. He could end humanity with a wave of his hand. But it's a lot more fun to see them cave in fear as they run than it is to kill them outright. So let's have some fun, shall we?

Jack and Ann have taken me on a great adventure full of mystery and incredible technology, I hope you'll join us. I know you have a lot of reading choices, but if you have space left in your literary adventure cup, please join Jack and Ann as 2021 turns into 2022, happy reading! __ The demon whispers inside Jack's mind. "They are not worthy, they are cattle, these new humans you covet. The so-called creator has betrayed you, replaced you with these organic imitations. Slaughter them all." It's funny, not in a ha-ha funny way, but a sad, my madness doesn't make sense type of way, Jack thinks, because wasn't he human? Worse still, the voice comes with impulses that are hard to resist. Violence usually ensues. That's why he joined the military. A way to channel his urges into mind-numbing physical effort and war. It works for a time. But alcohol and fighting can only carry on for so long. Finally, he realizes, his only way out is suicide. But when he opens his eyes, he's in the In-Between. The creator has other plans for him, and she won't take no for an answer. Apparently, this isn't his first life and if he doesn't free her from her prison, it won't be his last. His curse is to be reborn without end, without rest, without memory. Only madness. Now Jack is on the run from forces he doesn't understand. It's a new world. The mundane replaced by ethereal artificial intelligence, spontaneous virtual realities, and homicidal bible salesmen. But the creator promises the demon's voice will disappear as soon as he finds the right girl, the right bond. After that, they just have to escape the clutches of those who hunt them, find the Isle of Song, and free the creator from her prison. Or maybe this time, in this life, Jack will figure out what true freedom is. Come along on this action-packed thriller as Jack fights to remember who he is, tries to end an eternal war, and atone for sins he doesn't remember...yet.

They used my vulnerability against me. They used that weapon, to make me accept their stupid idea. And I of course, accepted it, I didn't even know what they were going to do. They tugged and poked and even shoved their disgusting finger in your wound, just to see you cry. To see you change. No pitty in their eyes. They just continue. They drag you around with metal chains, hit you and turn you into a experiment. But I had enough of the tugging, the clawing, the moaning, the crying and pleading for them to stop, but simply feeding them with our pain. They turned me into something, that neither do they know what I am. Their afraid of me, of my reflexes, my strength. I killed a lot of them. They say I have a cold heart, that I don't feel nothing. That's why they call me: Death -----------------------------------------************************************--------------------------------------------- Death. Hight 6'2. Tanned and toned body. Death's best friend in the hell hole they're in, he's as cold as she is. But shows a bit of sympathy. Well... More than her at least. He's been there for her, ever since she entered this place of crap. They're the two most feared. As some people say, they're a perfect couple. Killing. Fighting. Cold hearted creatures. -You are Y/N L/N, some people call you a psychopath, some people call you their savior, while others may just call you a profitable business partner. You may have no powers, that you know of, but you wouldn't need them anyway. You were discharged from the Noxian army and forced into taking the blame for a war crime you didn't commit. You are capable, you are unstable, and the Ionian prison can only hold you for so long. You are too crafty for your own good, you could kill and strategize before others could walk. You and your cellmate make a plan to break out, and when you do, you are greeted by an old friend waiting for you at the end. You go straight into illegality, developing a name for yourself; "The Black Death". All of your "business" dealings lead you to the K/DA, you do everything in your power to be loved by them and protect them, and I mean everything, even if it involves stabbing your friends in the back, even if it involves acts of violence, even if it involves manipulation... [SO FAR, EXPANDED AND ENHANCED HAS NOT BEEN STARTED, AND THERES NO PLAN TO START IT AS OF 7/3/24(US), SORRY.] -WARNING: This is one of my earlier works, there is going to be plot holes, pacing problems, and the love comes horribly fast because I didn't understand it at the time. There will be psychological abuse, dark undertones, dark overtones, drinking, perhaps drug use, blood, gore, violence, perhaps excessive violence, and probably sexual content. Also, this will be one of the darkest, PTSD-ridden Y/N's I write yet, that's the plan. It's cringey...

For more information, please consider visiting the "WELCOME" Page before starting. WARNING: This part of the series is currently under editing. If you happen to see flaws in any chapter or have your own ideas to make it even better, please let me know. Chapters from other parts of the series are not excluded. Thank you in advance! The part has been fully edited up until: Chapter 2. OVERALL DESCRIPTION: Legends tell of a war that has brought misery upon our lands, separating us from the united civilisation we once carved into the sand gifted by the suns. It was worse than a punishment from the gods, with the souls of the fallen ones still remaining to fight for the honour and protection of the home they once had, for their stories lost among the land of war, and for the glory they have given in exchange of the blade of memories, witness to their sins, losing themselves into the chaos of fate. Now, only the new generations are capable of changing this chaos and bring peace into our lands. We can only hope that the gods have written our peaceful ending into our fate. PART DESCRIPTION: The first part of "Glory in War" focuses on getting to know the world of a corrupted society resulted from a horrific war. One part of this civilisation is put to hide in the shadows of the lands in order to survive, while the other part hunts them with no hesitation, wishing to kill even the last man possible. As for what there is to come, let's say the gods have already written their story. After all, the eyes of The Watcher have opened. CONTENT WARNING: This story contains strong language and dives into subjects such as violence, gore, death, abuse, slavery, cannibalism and mentions of rape. Reader discretion is advised.
