Carlotta desperately turned her pale face to look behind her, the tears still fresh and flowing, stinging her eyes. Her golden hair blew wildly, thrown about by the hammering north-easterly wind, her bright green eyes glinted madly in the early morning light. Her eyes darted to the dark silhouettes rising over the bleak hill and snaking their way toward her vulnerable, terrified figure. She turned back to the raging sea, forty metres beneath her. The storm had blown the opaque waves into a cacophony of booms and gurgles and crashes, as they tore at the rock and plunged in and out of deep caverns and tunnels in the cliff. A bird scoured the watery battlefield for its prey, until, with a squawk, the helpless creature was engulfed by a huge mass of water and hurled under, to then, be thrown at the unforgiving rocks below.
Carlotta clenched her fist, took in a deep breath of the chilling dawn air, and jumped.

-- PROLOGUE "Let me get this straight. We have nothing in between us, except for the deal we made that day" he spoke in a monotonous tone. "I am the one carrying your name behind me; we are married. how can you say we have nothing in between us? Huh" She yelled at him, tears blurred her vision, and she spoke her heart to him. "For god's sake, this marriage was to save you! Can't you get that? I did not do it willingly, I do not love you!!" He yelled back at her, shattering her heart into pieces. "Why can't you just love me?" She spoke, as she cried the tears of hurt, and pain. Her heart thumped loudly due to the shivering sensation She felt all over her body. "I never made a commitment to you, or gave you any false hope, neither did i say that i love you. Did i?" He asked her, in a very cold tone. She looked at him through her teary eyes. It's getting difficult for her to even breathe. "It was your eyes, the damn eyes. Who gave me the false hope. They say, "Eyes speak the truth," but what about mine? Couldn't you feel the sincerity within them, expressing my deep affection for you? Why didn't you see the love shining in them? Was it too complex to understand? Couldn't you notice the warmth as they gazed at you? They search for you in every corner, If only you realized how they silently echoed the emotions I couldn't articulate. They say, "Eyes never deceive." But what about yours? They played a trick on me when they met mine, painting a facade of a world that wasn't real. They made me feel loved, Leading me into a belief that crumbled, louder than your spoken promises. Why did they betray me? Was it your eyes or you that masked the truth?" He stayed still, not moving or saying anything at her statement. --

She felt his surprise. She felt his light extinguish as he died. Then there was nothing. Nothing. Her head was swimming like it was underwater. She couldn't move. She couldn't move. Her vision blurred, a man was speaking but she couldn't hear his words. She felt the sword in her chest, but it wasn't there. He killed him. He killed him. Breathe. Did she stop? Breathe. The man, she could hear him speaking. What was he saying? Breathe. She inhaled a deep breath. And another. Then another. Things started to clear. "Breathe. That's right," the warrior coaxed. She started to take another settling breath, and his face came more into focus. The first thing she noticed was his piercing green eyes. She had never seen eyes quite like that before. She stared into them, mesmerized. He mimicked a breath and she took it with him. She was coming back. "I will not hurt you," the man kneeling before her promised. Anna knew better than to believe him. What was it he had said? Oh. "You...you said...you said 'no witnesses'." She was shaking violently. She took another deep breath. "Ah, " he uttered in acknowledgment. "You are not a witness, you are the treasure

Everything you could wish for at my fingertips. So why do I hate my life you ask? I open my door. "Do you need anything princess?" Dalton asks from his perch outside my door. "Will you ever go back to calling me Lilly?" I ask rolling my eyes at his formality. We grew up together and he was my best friend. Now that he works directly for my father he is bound by father's stupid rules. "You know I can't." Dalton says as he looks at the ground "Your father would kill me" "I'm going for a run." I say bluntly and turn my back to him. Dalton grabs my arm. "Wait you have to get permission" I twist out of his grasp and he grabs my other arm. Pulling me into him. "So concerned with my father Alt? What would he say if he saw us now?" I whispered in his ear. That got his attention and he released me on the spot. I step away and stand tall. "I could tell father and..." "You wouldn't" Dalton says with his stupid grin I havent seen seance we were pups. I lean in "Maybe, maybe not, who knows what might slip, Alt. You know I'm bad at keeping secrets." "NO! Come on please. I don't want to lose my position. (or my life) You wouldn't do that to me would you Lil?" I got him. As soon as I heard my name slip his lips I knew I'd won. "Tit for tat Alt. I keep your secret you keep mine. Now, I AM going for a run." Dalton rolls his eyes and reclaims his position at my door. "One hour" he says "or I'll tell your father myself!"

The sea was restless the night Aria Buckingham was born. Dark waves crashed violently against the cliffs of Port Royal, their rage whispering secrets only the wind could hear. The sky, black as sin, carried no moon-only streaks of silver lightning splitting through the heavens like vengeful swords. In a grand estate, nestled just beyond the harbor, a woman labored in pain, her screams swallowed by the storm. "She must not be born near the water!" an elderly midwife pleaded. "The prophecy-" A man loomed in the candlelight, his face shadowed with fear. His name was Lord Edward Buckingham, a powerful British noble whose wealth stretched across the Caribbean. He had spent his life running from the legend that now threatened his child. His wife, Isla, lay trembling in the bed, her face pale as foam on the tide. "She is coming," Isla whispered, her grip tightening around his wrist. "She belongs to the sea." "No," Edward growled, turning his back on her. "She belongs here, with me." Lightning struck the shore outside, sending an eerie blue glow through the window. And then-silence. A baby's cry pierced the night. But it was not the cry of an ordinary child. The windows shattered. The candles flickered. And in the wind, a voice, ancient and sorrowful, carried from the waves: "She will return to us, Edward Buckingham. No man can keep the sea from what is rightfully hers." Edward's blood ran cold. He staggered back, watching as the midwife cradled the newborn girl, her tiny fingers curling around the silver locket Isla had placed around her neck. A locket inscribed with a name-Aria. As the storm raged on, Edward made a decision that would change Aria's fate forever. She would never know who she truly was. She would never see the sea. And she would never-ever-learn the truth of her mother's death. Not if he could help it.

Something is killing them, wings breaking, angels dieing and the kingdom falling into a dark shadow. The one born that started it all is unaware of what is coming right at her. Evil lurks in plain sight and goods trembles. This 5 year old has a lot coming at her. "She fluttered down to the ground, pulled her winds in and rolled up into a ball on the ground. Her eyes filled with water. Slowly a small drop came out at the end of her black eyes. Rolling down onto her cheekbone and upon her pale cheek. Dropping to her jaw and slowly on her chin. It quickly fell off into her lap. She was crouching now, her arms around her knees and knees tucked in. Tears started streaming down on her face. Her nose started to run, dropping down onto her lips and past, moving to her chin and off, just like the tears. Falling every millisecond now. The wind blew her hair into her face, making it stick to the water. Sniffling her nose every now and again, Seraphina couldn’t stop herself. She opened her mouth to scream, to yell so her pain would leave but her voice disappeared. Nothing came out. She blamed herself for everything, she could have stopped them, done something to help, but no, she stood there, frozen. She clenched her fists. She grabbed what she could and threw it. But she couldn’t settle down, her heart was too hurt and her mind only made things worse." ~CHAPTER 9 ARTHOURS NOTE: PLEASE READ PAST THE FIRST TWO PAGES, THEY SUCK, THE REST ARE SO MUCH BETTER, PROMISE. its just hard to start a book with an intresting start, please read on even if its boring XD appreciate it.

Thalia backed up against the wall, trying to get as far away as possible from the beast that wanted to ravage her. That beast was Dante Adorno. "Where are you going, dolcezza?" His voice was thick with need as he stared into her hazel eyes that were swirling with uncertainty and lust. Oh she wanted him. Badly. "Away from you, 'dolcezza'," she spat sarcastically, a moan threatening to spill from her throat at his close proximity. Too close. She had to resist deeply inhaling his enticing scent of cinnamon and spice. The corners of his soft pink lips quirked up into a sexy smirk that Thalia found herself wanting to kiss off. "Why, your Italian is getting pretty good. Your..endearing sarcasm doesn't cover up the fact that you want me to pin you against this wall at this very moment and kiss you until you can't breathe anything but my air. And then you want me to carry you down this hallway into my bedroom where I'll make you feel so good that my name is the only thing to come from that pretty little mouth of yours. Am I right, no?" God yes. It took all the strength she could muster to keep her cool. "No, I do not want you, Dante. See, you are so used to getting what you want that when somebody turns you down, you become this persistent freak. No matter how incredibly sexy you are, I could never want an arrogant bastard like you!" Her chest heaved in anger, something that was very distracting to him. Anger flashed on his face for a split second before being replaced by an expression that could melt her insides. "Yes, I do get what I want. And right now I want you," he snarled before leaning down and capturing her mouth with his.
