In a world with an oppressive government, two lovers must discover whether or not their love is worth dying for.
Meet 4. 4 has neglected by their parents all of their life. Their parents, both 2s, are important people in the world of 2048, so they have no time to care for their child. Their neglect not only shapes 4 into a headstrong and cunning person but also influences the prophecy.
Meet 16. 16 has it all: a loving family, perfect grades, and loyal friends. The other half of the prophecy, they begin to understand that the best things in life are worth fighting for - or dying for.
Either 4 and 16 relinquish their relationship - or it's game over.

In the beginning, there was death. I've tried for years to tell him. 10 years, actually.
