We often think of 'wandering' as the act of going aimlessly from place to place; it is okay if you think that, you would not be wrong.
To me, it means much more than just changing your geographical location. We can wander in our own homes, drift away from reality on our chairs, migrate to other worlds with a pen in hand. Places where none have ever been, stories that have never been told, realities that exist only in the minds of those who heed your words.
One could call acts of writing, reading, imagining, and philosophising other ways of travel - the only difference being what you choose to impose as a difference.

Nearly arrested several times, often lost (sometimes on purpose), and dealing with unconscious travellers, lost luggage, delayed connections and even a lorry load of spilled toilet rolls, travelling has given me a plethora of experiences. Combine that with a slightly neurodiverse approach to life in general, a dyslexic understanding of signage and whatever else life seems to throw at me I don't think I've ever had a dull trip. But one wonderful constant is people. A short story about a villainess girl who had gained knowledge of her fate. She didn't changed anything and had accepted her fate. Her 'henchmen' as a voice called them, are her precious friends. Images of her friends faces full of despair flashes her mind." Why must we keep on chasing after their shadows when we know that we are not their desiried person?"
