[Sequel to Different] Even though one year has passed after her arrival to a whole new world inhabited by monsters, Calliope's condition hadn't improved. Rather, the longer she stayed, the worse she became.

The leaves rustled behind me but I didn't bother to look.

"I thought I'd find you here," Jeff sighed and sat down beside me.

I didn't say anything. I didn't think I should. I don't even know what to say.

"I never thought I'd see that kind of frenzy in my entire life. You're certainly something. You never fail to surprise us." he says.

I didn't have to be emotionless or broken to notice the way he said that. It was laced with fear, mostly. I then found it difficult to breathe and my eyesight began to blur. Something rolled down my cheek and it took me a moment to realize that I was crying.

I never cried.

"Jeff?" I whispered.

"Hm?"

"Kill me, please."
