With her family mistreating her and her friends teasing her, Madison brings herself into depression. However, she tells nobody about this because she doesn't want to bring more problems among those who already have enough to deal with.

The only hope she has is her favorite YouTuber, Markiplier. Unfortunately, everyone she knows hates him because he's "fake", and the only people who are kind to her, don't even know about him.

After getting her first phone, she finds herself in the social media side of the internet. While scrolling through some photos of Mark, she finds someone just like her! Sending that person a message, the two hit it off greatly!

Later on, Maddy finds out that her new friend attends the same school she does. Excited for her new life with a new, caring friend, she finally decides to tell her closest family member about Markiplier. Happy for Maddy, he buys the two girls tickets for Markiplier's You're Welcome Tour. Everything is finally beginning to look up for Madison.

Life is perfect... or so, she thought.
