He stopped. He couldn't bear to continue. Those words... they- they scared him. He knew exactly why they struck fear into him though: they were true. But he couldn't let go; not now. Not when he was this close. Not when he finally had her. Not when they were finally together. So it's no surprise that the son of her parents close friends who has to live, work at the bakery, and attend school with her develop's feelings for her. And Gabriel is locked up in jail but the only ones who know why are the police, Ladybug aka Marinette, and Chat Noir aka Adrien. They had grown apart since his mother's disappearance. Adrien always tried to speak with his father and try but he was always busy or away. He finally snapped at his father. But where would he go for the night? He had to find someone he could trust. Marinette wasn't expecting Chat Noir to show up on her balcony with red eyes filled with tears. Her first thought after seeing him was the akumatized version of him, Chat Blanc. She immediately brings him inside, making it her job to help him. She was not going to let her partner become her worst nightmare. He needed some place to feel safe? She would become that. It became an everyday thing. Chat Noir would visit Marinette every day, they would talk about their days as Chat tried to keep his as dense as possible to not reveal his identity.
