If you are reading this, it means my spell worked. Not all supernatural beings get the endings that the movies show. We are just as messed up, confused, and easily fooled like you. We also love, fight, and bleed just like you mortals. I don't foresee these stories changing your opinion of us, but more of a chance to educate. To educate you and hope that one day, far in the future, we can all live in a more harmonized world. And that, I have foreseen in the future!

I am glad you chose to continue to read. I know what you are wondering. How did this book end up in my hands? It's magic. Something you will learn more about in future stories. Who am I you are wondering next. I am Marnie Blood. I am the head witch of the Blood clan, in charge of all supernatural creatures. It is my job to protect them and to protect mortals. I have the gift of foresight. I have foreseen a terrible war between our two kinds. The thing about the future is it can always change. This is my attempt to change the future. Our future. I only ask that while you read this, to keep an open mind and heart. These stories are not for the kind of heart. These are real adventures and scenarios that my fellow supernatural beings have experienced. Some will surprise you, some will shock you, and some will make you fear and doubt everything you have ever known. However, this volume is all about love. Unexpected Love, Unheard of Love, sacrificial love, and some that will question your moral compass. 

We will start our first story with death. The one thing that mere mortals fear the most. We will see how Nicholas Blackstone turns his situation into love that is unheard of.

Show light of The journey of a person of color in finding self love when you're not the definition of today's beauty standard. Highest ranked- #10 in action 2/16/2017 A promotion. That's all I wanted. I didn't want to run for my life. I didn't want to be kidnapped. I didn't want to face death. I didn't want to find out my whole life was a lie. I just wanted a bloody promotion. Guess fate had other plans? **** The cold air fanned over my face as I opened the door. The exit door lead to the back of the building so it was pitch black. I leaned against the wall trying to control myself. Blood was running down my arm and head. My hair was stuck to my face from all the sweat and blood. Everything was spinning around me and the ground seemed like it was shaking. Groaning I sat down and put my head on my knees. He knows who I am. He knows how I look like. He knows where I work so possible knows where I live. I am not safe anymore... no where. While I was in my own world I heard faint sounds behind me but I didn't bother to look or run away. The footsteps got closer and I was pretty sure it was Walker's men. I should run. I should try to fight. But what's the point in trying to run away? He would eventually find me and if he has his way he would most likely kill me. If this is my fate then why am I trying to fight it? I felt someone harshly grab my waist and pull me up and I complied. They dragged me down the alley and into the busy street. I heard the opening of a car and the next thing I knew I was being thrown into a car. My head hit the hard leather seat and the door shut behind me. Maybe this is how my life will end. Maybe I should just let it happen. Maybe I was destined to die alone as a no one. With that I let the darkness consume me.

He was able to look through my mask, he saw the cracks, and tried to fix the broken girl that hid away deep inside the girl who only wanted to be seen as 'fine'. I slowly began to find comfort and safety in him, and I did the same to him. We were two broken people becoming whole.
