This book is about a black woman trying to find an answer to a question that arises do her life matter? The reason she ask the question is because others have made it seem as if black lives doesnt matter and we have been treated poorly for decades. As she look in the mirror, all of a sudden she becomes hynotized and finds herself on a time machine going back to the root of it all. She travels through eras of the past, present and future which gives her an answer to her question.
