A wing of stark white sits just before a wing of proud blue. It is the emblem of the Survey Corps. Many soldiers don the green cloak and devote their hearts to humanity. Certain few among them become emblematic themselves, representing the very idea of freedom, of strength, of courage, of wit, and of heart. 

This is the story of two such soldiers, those that grew up without seeing the sun yet became representative of the wings that brought humanity freedom. It is, of course, the story of Eren Yeager, Mikasa Ackerman, and Armin Arlert, yet not from their perspective; it is told through the voice of one of their commanding officers.

Amaya Ikeda.

She was brought up to be strong and independent. Raised in the Underground City, she had to be. She did not need anyone's help, nor did she need it. Her only goal was to raise enough money for her and her adopted brother to reach the surface. But fate, it seemed, had something else in store for her.

Amaya finds herself in a new and growing family, but it could only last so long. Among deciphering feelings she wasn't sure how she developed and addressing them, her life and that of her new family are completely shaken up.

Will it all matter in the end? They're in danger - being thrown into the Survey Corps is no small thing, and she doesn't want to lose her family again. Life had never been simple for her, but now...

Welcome to B&W! This is a story that takes place in the world of AoT. This is essentially several books rolled into one.

This is not a Levi x Reader, but you can insert yourself in place of Amaya. Other than the use of she/her pronouns and having hair, that is the extent of how she is described/referred.
