In a future, not entirely unsimilar to the present, the world is ruled by lines of code. Coders create viruses and sabotage each other, all to reach an impossible deadline, set by their Directive. A prominent Coder is found dead in their assigned apartment, after several months.
IDRA reboots in a hospital weeks later, amidst the riots and strikes. A Directive is there, and the numbers don't make sense. There is something deeper happening, but Androids get memories deleted every day. One more Android isn't anything.
