Claire Smith is just an ordinary girl. She isn't drop dead gorgeous, but she isn't ugly either. She lives with her brother, James and her two parents. She has average grades and and average life. She isn't an angel, nor is she innocent but one small decision will change her life. 


Tyler Bright. Don't be fooled by his name. He is far from bright. His mother died when he was at the age of six, leaving him to live with his alcoholic father. At home he is abused and beaten. Despite this he has many friends. None of which are aware of what happens behind closed doors. One small decision will change his life.

"I like you too. You're a great friend." He smiled.
I sighed, "No. I like you as more than a friend."
His facial expression stayed blank. 
"Oh."
"Oh?"
He nodded, "oh."
"Oh, really? Is that all you've got to say? I laid my heart out on the line for you, and 'oh' is all you've got to say? You know what? I should have never told you. I should have just kept my mouth sh-" 
He roughly placed his lips on mine. My eyes stayed open of of shock, but they eventually closed. His lips began to move in sync with mine before hesitantly pulling away.
"Thank God." He sighed breathlessly.
My eyes shot open. "What?"
He smiled a soft smile. "I like you too."
