Inspired by Ernest Hemingway and the Six-Word Rule.
Today, I read a book called "The Communication Book: 44 Ideas for Better Conversations Every Day", and in it was a chapter that mentioned about the six-word rule and Hemingway's version of it which goes like this - "For sale: baby shoes, never worn."
It took me a few seconds to realized the story expressed in that short sentence. Those six words painted the entire story in the back of my head. It was pretty powerful.
One can tell a story with only 6 words. And you can also use this six-word rule to describe novels, films, or anything else to test if you really understood it.
This rule has inspired me to describe my life up until now. And I did this to test if I understood myself.
I wrote this down while traveling by MRT.
