Things have gone terribly wrong in the Swann house. Heather is babysitting Jamie, the Swann's seven year old son, when Jamie goes missing. She dials the Swann's number but they never pick up. She doesn't panic. "Maybe he thinks we're playing hide and seek" she told herself. So she goes looking for him. She looks every where but can't find him. She descends the stairs after one last check and hears the buzz of a drill in the basement. Then the dropping of metal on cement. She tried to open the door but it wouldn't budge. She hears the buzz again. She decides she needs to call the police. But when the police arrive thirty minutes later Jamie appears in his bed asleep. And not only that, she's seeing things that aren't there. Or are they? Follow along as Heather unravels the mystery of the Swann's.

This story is not getting the attention it deserves, so I am attempting to "re-brand" it. Maybe no one "gets" it. If you want to read about "Normal" teenagers, maybe this isn't for you, it's more complicated than that. It's about a teenager who doesn't fit it, but doesn't want to, who has the best two friends that anyone could have. Who watched his father lose his job in the Recession and then loses his home, and how he copes, especially when he learns that their new house is haunted and the ghost is in his room. Michael was an average kid, although he's always stood out. He was a school jock but also a skater whose long blond hair almost reaches his waist. When his parents lived in a house in a home owners association like all his other friends, life seemed normal. Then his father lost his job and suddenly those "friends" weren't there anymore--except for his two best friends, Short Round and Dewey. The three are skaters, good ones, who live for girls and their skateboards. They're also basically good kids who take pride in being different without paying attention to it. When Michael loses his home and his family has to move they have his back. And they are there for him when the ghost girl starts following him around. Mariah was murdered when she was just 15, her remains were never found, although no one but her and her ghost friend, Crazy Girl, know where their bodies are buried. The house Michael now lives in is the one where she lived with her family, and her old room is now his. She appears to him one night, trying to taunt him, but against her will she is falling in love with the boy who lives in her old room. Slowly the two begin to fall in love and Mariah tells him her story, and of the hidden danger that lies up the street from him. Izzy was meeting up with a group of her friends at an abandoned hotel. As they continued to walk along the floors the boards creaked.They heard so many scary stories about this place that a couple was murdered in room C3 on the third floor. A case never truly solved because no one had been able to set foot in that room. Izzy and her friends wanted to test this and see if this was really true. Izzy started to wander off from her friends in a different direction not realizing her and her friends have been separated. She was calling out for her friends "Tyler,Hannah,Justin!". As she is calling for them she is going deeper and deeper into this hotel. She keeps hearing faint whispers she says "Anyone there?" but no response.She receives a text on her phone from her friends that they are on the third floor waiting for her.
