Ket is a thief, mistress of disguise and con artist. Katrina is a princess on her way to get married to a man she hates. Although their lives couldn't be more different, their faces are alike enough that they could be mistaken for twins.
When their paths collide, Ket takes advantage of their physical similarities and assumes Katrina's identity. The plan is to infiltrate the palace of Oblyan, land herself in the good graces of the royal family, convince them to pardon her uncle, who has been sentenced to death for conspiring against the crown, and get the hell out.
However, nothing is ever that simple.
Soon Ket finds herself cut off from her friends and allies, backed into a corner by Katrina's suspicious relatives and wrapped up in more conspiracies than you can shake a stick at. To make matters worse, she discovers herself engaged to the charming but dangerous prince Aklos, who doesn't quite understand how his fiancée went from a soulless demon to a girl he nearly likes, but isn't above taking advantage.
Ket resigns herself to putting up with Aklos for as long as the charade lasts. However, as time drags by, she begins to grow unsure of her own feelings for him - even knowing that there can be no future for a relationship built on deceit.
(Very, VERY loosely based on Mark Twain's The Prince and the Pauper.)
Nixon is the 3rd book in the Broken Series. (Ryan is the 1st, Brynn is the 2nd)
Nixon leaves rehab early because he can't deal with being there anymore. His sister Kelis finds someone in need of a roommate so he moves in with the girl and gives her his middle name, Lucas. He quickly becomes addicted to the girl and once he gets one taste he's done for. He warns her about his past, about his name, but she ignores all the red flags, not realizing exactly how intertwined she is with the people from his past. He becomes enamored with her, feels like she was made for him while still battling the demons of his past and soon it all becomes too much for him to handle. He makes a heartbreaking decision, thinking it's what's best for both of them and everything changes.
