*Excerpt from the book*
I bet you are reading this book because it relates to you some type of way, or maybe your school library sucks. I know how you feel. I forgot to introduce myself; my name is Morgan India Adams. Mo or Mo-Mo for short. My sisters and I are a mutt of different ethnicities. I am Puerto Rican, Black, Native American, and White. My mom is Puerto Rican, black, and white, and my dad is black and Native American. My granddad on my mom's side is Puerto Rican and black. My grandma on my mom's side is black and white. On my dad's side, my grandma is black, and my grandpa is Native American and black. My family just identifies ourselves as black because that is what's mostly in us and it is confusing to say all of that to someone. Anyway, I have three sisters Brianna, Briella, and Alycia. Brianna and Elle are eight years older than me, and Alycia is three years younger than me.

"𝔼𝕍𝔼ℝ𝕐 𝔽𝔸𝕄𝕀𝕃𝕐 ℍ𝔸𝕊 𝕊𝔼ℂℝ𝔼𝕋𝕊" - - - "My name is Hazel, but most people call me Ze. I'm from Melbourne, and love Taylor Swift." I cringe at my own words, and think back to a time where Fletcher was one of the only people calling me Ze. "Does anyone have questions for Miss. Bolivi?" Fletcher asks, and I hate the way my father's last name sounds on his lips. Lots of students raise their hands, and I feel overwhelmed. People actually want to learn something about me? "Yes, Miss. Abbott. Ask away," Fletcher says to one of the girls who is seated at a table at the front of the class, with other kids who all look bitchy like her. "Are you related to the Bolivi brothers?" Her disgustingly sweet voice pukes out. "My last name is Bailey," I say coldly, hating how that was her only query about me. - - - Hazel Bailey. She's your typical Australian teenage girl. "Tell me. Why won't you tell me?" He asks and I look towards him slowly, "You didn't even talk to me until yesterday! I'm trying to make it so nobody notices me, Kingston. I don't need this." I say and he slowly turns my face towards him, closing my locker and pinning me up against it. "What if I need you?" He asks and I roll my eyes. "Nice one, Hamlet." I say, walking away from him. One of the perks of being short, easily get away from tall people. ❤︎ Kingston Brag is the blonde haired popular guy with baby blue eyes, he's the guy every girl wanted. Every. Single. One. Except for her... Summer Cynthia. She hides in the corners and under black hoodies to hide her scars and bruises, her bloody arms and cuts, she hides her life. But there is one person who is determined to know what happened to her. Kingston Brag. But he has a mission that he's running from. This book contains one sexual scene, lots of bad words, abuse, violence, all that jazz. If you don't want that don't read the book and comment how it's not appropriate or some crap like a mom. There are two lesbians, a gay man, and a bi mother, so don't freak out if you will I'd rather you not read. Also she's a walking contradiction, don't comment about it, I know. #1// badparents // November 18, 2019 #7//teendrama // February 21, 2020 #17//romance//May 08, 2020 #1//abandoned//March 29, 2021 #5//drama//May 14, 2021 #1//fiction//May 15, 2021 #1//popular//May 18, 2021 #1//chicklit//May 22, 2021 #2//highschool//February 20, 2023 #3//teen//February 20, 2023 #3//teenromance//fFebruary 20, 2023

Chrissy Martinez is lost, but not the kind of lost that a GPS will fix. She's the kind of lost that takes years of therapy or a trip to one of those spiritual retreats to fix. At 19, she had no idea what her place would be in the world, but she could manage. With her mama and sister by her side, she kept her head down and worked a shitty job to hold the family together. That is, until her whole life came crashing down when her mother died and she lost the safeguard of her home in the same week. Wandering lost in a world without her shepherd, she knows her snarky attitude or quick wit cannot save her from this, she needs a map. And maybe, just maybe, she finds the very map she needs while cleaning out her mother's closet. Maybe, that map is in the form of a birth certificate. ---------- Skillet Lawson is the club goofball. His reputation for inappropriate comments and deadly sarcasm make him a staple in the Franklin chapter of The Devil's Right Hand MC. To some, his child-like banter and carefree nature may seem immature, but to Skillet, this is the epitome of maturity. Nothing is more mature than seeing all the shit the world has to offer and sticking your middle finger up at it. His life is pretty damn good now. He's got everything he could ever want. But what happens when the mysterious girl with curly hair and a bag full of secrets catches his eye? Now, the man who never takes anything seriously develops serious feelings for the beauty with a secret identity, even though he knows he shouldn't. Can Skillet resist the gorgeous forbidden fruit? Or will he fall under the spell of the devil's daughter? ------ Disclaimer: This is the fourth book in my Devil's Right Hand Series. While I recommend reading these books in order, this can be read as a stand-alone.

NOTICE: Before the Morning is currently undergoing revisions! A sensitivity reader (someone who goes through your manuscript and assesses representations in your work) identified a number of issues surrounding the Filipino representation in BTM. I'm rewriting with the goal of creating a more authentic and respectful story. I'm sorry for the pain I caused by failing to include accurate Filipino culture and in having written from Nora's point of view.
