When they realize their childhood is very quickly coming to an end, friends come together. They decide to make the very most of the summer before high school; which may very well be the last summer in which they can truly be children.
As the friends find out who they really want to be in life, they are faced with the challenges of the twenty-first century. Some are switching genders. Others are switching sexuality. Some are realizing they have disorders, and need to realize that they need help. But the one thing that will never change is that the lot of them are friends.
And that they're all insane.

It's the first day of June's senior year and everything is already going wrong. Instead of falling into a deep dark pit of self pity (however tempting that may sound), all of this betrayal ends up leading her to the best friends she's ever had and the most exciting school year of her life.
