They tell you as a child not to go wandering around at night, especially alone. That's when they come out: the Wendigos. In the daytime, they look like the rest of us. They work in the same professions, entertain the same hobbies, send their children to school alongside our own. The only thing you won't see them do is eat. Some may pretend, or sneak off just after eating to throw up while no one is watching, but they won't consume their actual sustenance in public. Instead, they wait until night. Hiding, waiting, hunting for one of us, someone drunk or stupid or foolishly brave, that didn't heed the words that'd been preached to them since birth. And then they feed.

Hostage. Prisoner. What ever you wish to call it. They won't let me nor my friends leave. Taken by a cannibalistic family and claimed I was being adopted into their family. I already have a family of my own. And what of my friends that's with me? They're the main course. In the little town of Norbury, Canada, there have been several people disappearing without a trace. A couple of my colleagues and I decided to do a news article and discover the reasons for all the missing people. However I never realized the horrors that would await us in the quiet little town. The town is not a real place in Canada, I just made it up. This is my first story ever so if I have grammar mistakes PLEASE CORRECT ME!!!
