This city is optimized based on the most perfect solution: the human brain. Every control system is regulated like the brain would, and so everything works smoothly. Humans decided to... make some improvements. The one problem with the human brain is that it fails to maximize full productivity. It sleeps for almost half of the 24 hours of the day, losing precious hours of working time. As the Human mind itself cannot be rewritten to work the full 24 hours, they decided to perfect their way of life to account for such a problem. The population of the city was divided into 8 Rhythms, each with an equal number of people, each of whom's internal body clock was altered as to maximize productivity.
