Alexander is a siren who gets captured and held in a marine life conservation center. Desperate to escape back to the ocean, he tries to seduce his caretaker, Thomas, into helping him. But for some reason, he is immune to his influence. Despite this, Alexander finds himself falling for the human.

Thankfully, Monty sticks around, though Lain is uncertain as to why. Everyone in this story has lost someone or something. Grief and healing are the heart of it all.
