Kai had a vision. 

In this vision, it was always the same: abandoned warehouses, fire, smoke filling the air, and a young child he couldn't save every time it occurred. At first, he paid no mind to it, but he knew he'd have to risk it all when he had a run-in with that same kid from his dream. But at what cost? What would he be getting from protecting some kid? Only time could tell.
