The year is 2294.

The world is officially destroyed. A sliver of population has managed to survive in a space ship for the last five years, but now the oxygen is beginning to run out. Space is lacking as humanity keeps reproducing. The food is turning scarce.

A new planet was needed. 

And a new planet was found.

That planet was yet to be explored, so they sent thirteen of you, the ones affected by radiation, the Subjects, to explore it.

Chaucer, you have a wonderful opportunity here, are you going to take it or not?" Now, I am seriously confused, "Opportunity?" She takes advantage of my befuddled state and shoves the door open. Shit. The corners of her mouth pull up, and it's so unnatural, it takes me a moment to realize she's smiling. Major plastic surgery? Probably. Click. Did she just lock the door? She locked the door! I spring towards the house phone, dusty from years of doing absolutely nothing, so I can call the police. I don't make it. Halfway there, I trip on my own pant-leg and face plant on the floor. The woman steps over me and retrieves the phone. She looks at it as if it's a foreign object, "This won't be necessary. All I want to do is talk to you." For some reason, instead of screaming, I stay silent. She smiles and pulls out a chair from the kitchen table for me to sit on. When I don't sit, she says, "If you want to know what's going on, then sit." I think about it for a moment. She hasn't hurt me yet, and I have to admit, I am quite curious as to what's going on. Now, after a war that nearly erased humanity, people are forced to live a strict, dull, communist lifestyle. Everyone seems okay with this way of life. Everyone except Maxine. Maxine had always been special; she was often able to predict events. How? She didn't exactly know...yet. When she starts having dreams about a tropical island where people live as they did in the 21st century, she meets the man of her dreams: literally. Her new boiling emotions bring her to wonder...what if it's a real place? When she starts her search for the island and bumps into Elis-the man in her dreams-she suddenly knows it wasn't all just a making of her imagination. Finding that island could mean finding the answers to her burning questions, and maybe even answers to questions she didn't know she had. However, not everything is what she thought it would be when she finally finds the island, and her dreams become a harsh reality. Elis turns out to be someone else, and when another man swoops in every time Maxine is in danger, she becomes confused about what love really is. The Advisors, the ten women governing the world, want to assimilate the people of the island, not knowing that those people have an extreme advantage over them. Maxine also learns that her family has been lying to her about who she really is. Ultimately, when the Advisors come to destroy the island, she must face the fact that she is the key to the island's salvation, and embracing her rapidly developing abilities is the only way to do so.

I'm an artist with words, not book covers... Android Captain Lancieta Steegle, and an engineer from Earth named Mannie end up relying on each other for more than survival when a war is thrust onto the people of Earth. In a desperate attempt to deal some kind of blow to the Halgred, the Andromedian collective okayed a Shadow Operation to attack the Halgred Homeworld. The weapon was illegal, a bio-weapon designed to sterilize and weaken their almost otherworldly physiology. When this weapon is instead redirected to Earth by the Halgred King, Draconisis, those whom survive undergo a change. As they wake up, the people of Earth are greeted by horror of their new animalistic physiology, and for some, unimaginable abilities. The 20 or so surviving Androids of the once thousands-strong crew of the Dreadnought-Class battleship do their best to make amends and help the humans of Earth adjust to their new Bestial Planet and the even more dangerous intergalactic community. This story is "Complete" as in the last chapter was written and it's gone through about 3 re-writes and 4 rounds of editing since. Very few stories are ever finished, as we know, because there's always something we think can be or should be changed. However, I've learned that the best I can do is get it to the point where I feel comfortable with someone else reading it. Otherwise I'd never have posted anything anywhere.

My father was one of those really smart people. I was only five at the time, but I knew what was happening." Within the walls of the compound, Jay makes stupid mistakes, mistakes even she doesn't understand, putting everyone inside at risk. All because she can't shoot someone. All because she misses the wind in her hair, the flowers on the hillsides, the sound of crickets at night. All because she's different, the only person untouchable by the Virus. The year is 2098 and the world has been inhabitable 3 times in the past century due to not-so-natural disasters, but the human race bounced back every time. After surviving in an underwater bunker for 15 years, 5 young adults are sent out to scope out the land to start over. Again. Three soldiers-one of them being the daughter of the Chief of North America-and two scientists began their journey feeling more or less hopeful about the road ahead. But less than 48 hours after stepping onto the surface, they realize it's not as safe as they thought and there are enemies-dead and alive-lurking in every corner. - AN: Obviously it's still a work in progress, but I'm hoping to get some comments and feedback about what I have so far so maybe I can one day publish when it's done. I also have plot lines for two other books that take place years after this one ends so it's a possible trilogy! I edited some things along the way but never really reviewed it as a whole so there may be some inconsistencies so let me know if you see any or any plot holes. I'm also open to suggestions.
