Currently Kairi and her brother William are attending Seawest University in the Florida keys but here, life is anything but peaceful. Juggling mage classes, biology classes, and the fact that the dean's son and his werewolf body guard seems to be keeping an eye on her, Kairi's secret of being a mermaid is becoming harder to keep under wrap. Kairi has always been proud to be a mermaid but as she is discovering during her time at Seawest University, her origins might not be as rosy as she thought when she discovers the ruins of a lab. If that wasn't enough boats keep disappearing offshore and people are claiming that mythical creatures are no longer extinct.

A merman, born with the abilities of the sea, and one problem, they're not like regular merfolk. They're smaller, like a human borrower, 5 inches tall The merman's duty is to complete prophesies at his own will (not forced like in the webtoon), but the only disadvantage he has is the fear of merchildren As he swims to do a prophesy, something stops him and gets caught in the chaos of the ocean near the surface, for he heard rumors that the surface is a dangerous place for any merman or mermaid, but to the Beacon, it was a blessing
