Seven-year-old Clint Barton has finally found a family. His brother might be content with the circus, but Clint has attached to a mysterious drifter who only goes by 'K'.

He knows that K has a scary past, one that involves some bad men who forced her to do things she didn't want to do. But when those men come after them, the problem might be more than the two of them can handle on their own.

Not that Clint is happy about needing help, especially from costumed superheroes who should keep their noses out of his mom's business.

This is a continuing work with @CanuckleheadCowgirl, whose OC, K, plays a huge role.

Part 2 of the 495 Universe.

THIS STORY HAS MOVED TO TUMBLR! Details given in the latest update. A story in which America's favorite Captain gives a new life and family to a five-year-old girl who has suffered well beyond her years... During an intense Hydra-disassembly mission, the Avengers are able to successfully detain countless Hydra personnel, as well as several of the evil agency's test subjects. But in the midst of the harrowing scene, America's favorite Captain is asked to investigate the final holding cell in the experimentation lab. There, he finds a small child huddled fearfully in a corner with a blindfold over her eyes, a complete contrast to the other prisoners who were all super-built, raging with anger, and ready to fight. Over his earpiece, the other Avengers are able to offer Captain scrambled bits of information they've all gathered about this mysterious creature, referred to as simply "Girl." But when she's brought back to the Avenger's Headquarter's to be further investigated, he finds out that there's much more to this little girl's story than anyone had initially imagined. With the seemingly complete elimination of Hydra, the heroic group are offered more freedom and time to make real lives for themselves. But Steve Rogers has formed a soft spot for a certain fellow ex-test subject. Along with the help of his friends, will he be able to help Girl heal and find hope for her future? And what will happen when Girl's dark past attempts to catch back up with her? [Trigger warning: physical, emotional, and sexual abuse of a child.] [Spoiler alert: This fan-fiction will include many unavoidable spoilers to most of/if not all the films in the Avengers series. Read at your own discretion.] [Lowercase of titles intended.] All original writing. Steve Rogers and all other Marvel Universe content belong to their respective owners/creators.

Elizabeth Barton/Ghost (Avengers Fanfiction)

9 parts Complete

For all the Marvel lovers out there: This is an Avenger's fanfiction like no other. I promise. Elizabeth Barton is Clint Barton's (Hawkeye) younger sister. At eight years old, she was kidnapped and used for an experiment that was supposed to model the serum that made Captain America so awesome, except with a few alterations. At nine, she was finally rescued by her brother. At sixteen, she became and Avenger.
