Alyson kommt in eine neue Stadt, hat ihre eigene Wohnung und steht auf eigenen Beinen. Glücklich ist sie deshalb, aber noch lange nicht.
Außerdem hat sie sich mit ihrem losen Mundwerk nicht gerade Freunde gemacht: die Schulbekannte Gang hat sie im Visier und sie kommt ihrem Geheimnis auf die Schliche.
