"you have to promise me, Nico. you have to promise me right now that you won't leave me like everyone else has." His voice held fear and anguish - yet it was so refreshing to hear. i placed my hand on his cheek and gently rubbed it with my callused thumb. "Aspen. i swear on my life that i won't leave you until the sun absorbs Mercury," I responded, letting a small smile slip over my face as I heard his amazing laugh. Together, him and I. It sounded perfect. It was 11:48pm when Nicolas Trinston received a phone call from the hospital to spread the bad news that his "friend" Jacob Yukon had passed away. With his best friend now ignoring him, failing grades, and a family shoved into a home of discord, Nico doesn't understand why he deserved all this pain. Deep down he knew a reason as to why all this karma was hitting him, but he refuses to bring up that memory. Then he meets Aspen Nichols. A prep school boy who recently moved to Sanford, Florida. With secrets of his own, drama was bound to happen when both met in a chemistry class.

𝘽𝙤𝙤𝙠 𝙄𝙄𝙄 𝙤𝙛 𝙂𝙤𝙡𝙙 𝙁𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧 𝙨𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙨 The bad news: Phoenix has turned into gold. The good news: so have their enemies. It's also possible that apart from their group of three, so have the rest of the human kind. Meanwhile, in the cottage, life more or less goes on. As Najwa mourns both her mom and the loss of her closest friend, Rain can't tear his gaze away from the golden remnants of their enemies and Rio does their best to keep everyone fed and healthy. Aspen isn't much help, not when he is holed up in his room, terrified of the power he holds. It's been said that you only realize the importance of someone when they're gone. Whether or not that is true, Aspen would give his life to get Phoenix back. There's guilt, undoubtedly, but also the fact that he has a huge crush on him. They have never even had the chance to kiss or confess their feelings, and that's just tragic. But hey, there's always a chance for a long-distance relationship. As you might imagine, the connection from one world to another isn't ideal. But if they can make it work, there's a chance to return Phoenix and the rest of the infected back to life.
