EXCERPT
"Mind Palace?" Loki echoed with a frown.
"Yes," Sherlock confirmed, "it's... how do I explain it? You use visual memory to build a mental house, and use the rooms to remember information."
"And this actually helps you remember things?" Loki frowned.
"Yes," Sherlock nodded, "for example - what was Miss Hudson wearing this morning?"
"Why should I care?" Loki asked, "that's not relevant at all."
"But that's the thing," Sherlock replied patiently, "in detective-work, everything is relevant. You see, she was wearing an old pants, which means she'll be working in the garden because she also had boots on. And if she's working in the garden, she'll be busy for a while. Which'll ensure that she won't clean our room, and find my revolver under the mattress."
Loki raised an eyebrow.
"Impressive."
Sherlock smiled.
"I know, I can be a genius, sometimes."
"Join the club," Loki mumbled, "genius, well-armed, abandoned psychopaths."
"High-functioning sociopath," Sherlock corrected automatically.
"What?" Loki frowned.
"Sociopath," Sherlock repeated, "not psychopath."
"So you're saying you have feelings," Loki smirked, "that's interesting coming from a person who locks themselves up in their... mind palace... twenty-four-seven. I'm sticking to psychopath - it's closer to philanthropist too."
"Stop talking John," Sherlock mumbled, clearly zoning out again.
Loki sighed.

[Book 1 of the Sherloki'd series.]
I took his hands in mine frantically, causing his eyes to meet mine. "Then hand over the Tesseract and come home, Loki. Please."
"I can't." He pulled away. "If I'm not allowed rule on Asgard, then I'll rule here."
My eyebrows knitted together in desperation. "Loki, pleas-"
My plea was cut shot as a burst of energy and the distinctive clang of metal on metal pushed me over into the god of mischief. We stumbled backwards until I laid on his chest and he grunted from the sudden impact.
"Thor." I cursed under my breath. "Sorry..." I began lifting myself off of his body. I narrowed my gaze and quickly stood to rush into Thor's aid, ignoring his dejected expression. I was about to leap off the cliff side when I heard four words that had me frozen in my place unlike anything my powers could do.
"I still love you."

(Y/N) Ísveig thought she'd made peace with Loki's death. She couldn't bring herself to forgive him for everything he had done, obviously, but she was finally beginning to live the life she always wanted. She was no longer deemed future queen of Asgard, and she was slowly learning to control her amplified ice powers.
That is, until the god of mischief decides to attack New York and steal the Tesseract.
Now (Y/N) must again face her inner demons as her powers quickly deem too much for her to handle, and all her feelings for Loki resurface even though she forces herself to see him as the enemy.
Only time will tell if her, along with the Avengers, can put a stop to his schemes, or if New York will ultimately be engulfed by a thick layer of snow, ice, and death.
