Phoenix scanned the curves of Lainie's body with cautious eyes. Skepticism seemed to be the only other emotion he could muster besides anger. "Trust is a five letter word, Ms. Alaine."
"Yeah, and what does that have to do with anything?"
He inched closer, clenching his jaw as if he were holding back a million secrets. "So is death."
A sly smile turned up the corners of her mouth. "Finally," she sighed, "Something we can agree on."

"I'm ready to risk it all if you are," there is no hint of amusement, or lying, seen in his dark brown eyes as the words slip from his parted lips. Academy Initia is where elementals, people who can control elements at there whim, go to train their abilities. There is water/ice (other wise known as frost), earth, wind, and fire. Fire and Frost elementals are kept apart since they can potentially kill each other from a touch. Though, when the Academy is attacked, it forces the officials to have the students work together to become more powerful as one. Forcing the fire and water elementals to interact. Six high school students looks like anyone else acts like anyone else but are capable of things no one else is. They learnt from a young age no one that means NO ONE can know about their powers even their parents and other siblings. It brings out the true friends and those who just want to use you. In the end, what do you do when your closest friend betrays you? This is the story as they try to keep their biggest darkest secret of what they are capable of and as they discover they're not the only ones like them... I am not very good at trigger warnings before individual chapters but there is mention of blood, cold abuse and parents divorcing. (But read at your own risk in case I mention something else.
