Violet and her twin sister Ellie live in at home with their abusive parents, Teresa and Raymond. As Violet and her sister Ellie are sent off to live at Mary Jynalski Orphanage by the ages of 7, things take a turn when Ellie is adopted by a newlywed couple Maria and Lucas leaving Violet by herself.

As Ellie’s life comes into play she had been home schooled for most of her years and had made friends with the neighborhood children and now she's enrolled in high school at 16 to start over, but Ellie makes some decisions that erases her bubbly side.

Violet runs away from the orphanage on the day of her 16th birthday spending most of her nights on the street stealing food from shops and struggling to survive, Until Violet met Samantha Brooks; a manager of a popular restaurant and took her in to live at her home. Samantha adopts Violet and helps her enroll into high school. She thinks everything in her life is great until she meets someone important that will either make or break her.

Violet and Ellie haven't seen or heard from each other since...until now.
