July 18th was the day that Flynn Taylor died. Horrific, unexpected and heartbreaking. It took place on a gorgeous afternoon with the sun low and warm. The breeze carried the salt of the ocean, surrounding everyone with happiness and innocence. Of course, the carriage - the seat - that Flynn Taylor had chosen to sit on was faulty. Of course, nobody checked it before he buckled himself in. Of course, it was me who had convinced him to go on the ride.

A horrific event that occurred right in front of seventeen year old Adeline's eyes, made it across all the news headlines, television, newspapers and online.
