Detroit: Become Human
The happy-to-help android tilted his head in confusion like he was listening to something. Conner had removed his LED a few weeks ago, but Hank was sure that if it was still on, it would be a racing yellow. "HAnk? Am I stilL hEre?...am...aLivE?" His voice had that robotic edge again, making it very muffled and echo-y. "YES!" Hank yelled into his face, "Yes Connor, you are! You are alive! Fight back you son-of-a-bitch! Fight back!" Conner's hands began to clench and twitch uncontrollably. Hank took a step back. "I Am aLiVe?" Connor repeated weakly.

"How are you feeling, Connor?" "You know I can't do that." In the wake of triumphant and remarkably peaceful protests, androids achieved the validation they had ardently fought for-acknowledgment of their deserved rights. The echoes of the civil war faded into the past, yet, despite the victory, a disquieting hollowness clung to Connor's thoughts. The war had concluded, the chains of oppression had shattered, and yet an unsettling sense of emptiness lingered within him. The question persisted, a quiet murmur in the recesses of his mind: Could he revert to the patterns of his old existence? The shackles were gone, freedom beckoned, but why did this lingering void refuse to dissipate? The paradox of liberation and the persistent echo of emptiness perplexed him, casting a shadow over the newfound tranquility.
