"I slowly lifted my fingers from the smooth keys. I let the note go in it's soft tone. I can feel the ringing of the last chord in the air; surrounding everyone in it's beauty. I stood up and felt a small smile creep onto my face. The audience was still. Some with mouths dropped to the floor. I place my arms at my side, sliding my shoulders back, and take a full bow like I was told. I look down at my feet and close my eyes for a slight moment, seeing the blueness of hers. Then I felt it. The big wave across the smooth, flawless, wooden stage. A large vibration that could only be caused by one thing: sound. I stand up strait and open my eyes, finding myself being adored by hundreds and hundreds of clapping admirers. I think back to the only other time I've experienced such a wonderful feeling; back when I was just eight years old. My mind goes back to the loud applause I once knew. What a marvelous sound. There is no other feeling in the world like that! You feel invincible, powerful, beautiful... Strong. I long desperately to hear it once more! But I know I never will. My life forevermore in silence..." Scarlett Shepard was just eight years old when she was in a car accident that tragically changed her life forever. Although she can not hear, she has nothing left but music to companion her. She refuses to give up, and shows the world that anything is possible.

There are two of us. I have two eyes. It is enough for us. "Never did I think somebody who was physically able would be able to love me in the past. I always thought it would be someone blind just like me, who could understand what it meant to be blind." she continued. "I am blindly in love with you. Whoever said love is blind was thinking of me" I replied. She used her hand to feel around my face, and it finally rested on my cheek. I smiled and placed my hand on hers, closing my eyes to savour the feeling. I was enjoying it until I felt a teardrop on my face and when I looked up, I saw she was crying. "What is wrong my love?" I asked, raising my head from her lap and looking straight in her face. "Don't you feel ashamed of being in love with a blind girl? Don't you think Blessing is better for you? Don't you get scared that your friends will mock you, What if everybody..."
