"YOU?! What makes you think I would ever love you" he hollered in disgust, as my eyes filled with tears

" There is literally nothing good about you, the only reason I married you is because I had no choice" he sneered

" Well you got what you wanted, now leave! Divorce me, you don't need me" I gritted my teeth as the tears silently slid down my face.

He laughed slightly, and came closer until his face was an inch away from mine. He then pushed me against the wall and trapped me between his arms. He then leaned in and whispered in my ear

"Oh no! Because of you, I suffered. And I know you can't leave so I'll make sure you never feel happiness again, my wife" and with that he left the room and slammed the door behind him.

Our religion is Islam, and it's supposed to be a lifestyle. But why is it that we treat our cultures higher than our religion? In Islam if you have a spouse that treats you horribly, you can divorce them.
