It was like some old WW2 veteran said.. "hatred will naw at you, eat you alive if you're not sane enough. From this kind of rage driven insanity are wars and massacres and psychosis that threaten to end all of us."
It's only been 5 years after the last battle, but the growing tension and dread of the people confirm that the dark days are still here and won't be leaving anytime soon. Of the last of them, there were three kinds:
The Few, the Blooms, and The Govs;
the survivors, the beasts, and the military that is still intact.
For the looks of it, Jesse McCree may as well be the last survivor left. Others being picked off by the blooms almost hourly, dragging them to their nests to be slaughtered and eaten. Things can only turn for the worst before the better when the Govs order a required enlistment for those who still lived into the fight for everyone's lives, ending him up in the very claws of corruption and the embrace of something else he can't quite define.

Expectations and a Golden Stitch-A DreamError/Insomnia Fanfic
Dream always felt the weight of expectations on his shoulders and they've only grown worse now that he's a Star Sans. Save this AU, rescue that person, stop Nightmare over there, and make X person smile! It's a never-ending cycle of tasks and he gets asked more about why he hasn't done it sooner or defeated his brother yet than thanked for what he accomplished. He feels trapped in this position and doubts if he didn't have his positive aura that anyone would care for him. Most like him for the joy he brings or what he can give them. Nobody around him ever feels genuine without a doubt in his head. Add in the stress of protecting one Star Sans(Swap) and keeping the other(Ink) from starting trouble and you have a positive guardian ready to break under expectations. Then you have Error, the destroyer of AUs. His reputation speaks for himself and builds all the expectations he needs whenever he steps foot into another AU. He's as bad an omen as a black cat crossing your path. Others assume he is bad because of his "freakish" or glitching appearance. He has accepted these but it gets tiring when he already has the voices bossing him around or Fate reminding him that he should do more destruction. But he doesn't limit himself to destruction. He watches UnderNovela, admires the stars, and appreciates what he can. He pushes the limits of what is expected of him or disregards them completely. A trait that Dream eventually finds himself admiring in him, the known enemy of his friend. He knows that Error's feelings are genuine since he doesn't change in his presence(still an angry manchild). So when Dream gets wounded and stuck with Error on a whim, where will it take them? Will it be a mistake remaining in a hatred of enemies or will it change them both for the better?
