My name is Coral, I've lived in an aquarium my whole life with just my dad and the staff as company. I've been homeschooled, never meeting other people my age.
But then I make a move...
I discover what's in the basement.
I discover that I have a brother.
I discover that I'm half a freaking mermaid and the other half a werewolf.
I discover that just because I'm different I have half the world hunting me down.
Oh yeah
And I discover that my mother isn't really dead.
Then I discover that I'm being moved far away from the aquarium and everything I've ever known and that they'll never let me go back.
And that's when I start to sink.

What happened to you is that you were born as a bizarre pile of biomass created by nature's natural selection. When some humans made contact with you years later, you immediately infected and possessed one of them and began to evolve rapidly. It was then you developed a personality and can think like an intelligent species. All before being captured, experimented on, and then escaping not long after. Luckily for the world, you aren't super bloodthirsty or a complete psychopath. Your personality is that of someone humble and wanting peace. Just like how mother nature is and must be respected as so. Speaking of the world, you figure out that the world you reside in now is called Remnant. Compared to the laboratory below, the outside world is much worse with the Grimm and humans fighting each other. But it is also the world where you will actually find your place in these harsh lands of savage beasts and advanced weaponry. Along with those whom you will reside alongside with.
