Merlin is left in charge to care for his own kingdom, Aeyland. While in the midst in the course of events, Merlin's mind is a blank slate-all memories of Arthur now washed away. Things are going smoothly, until Merlin gets a sudden sense, rushing to a certain lake.
There, Arthur rises.
Merlin has no idea who the 'stranger' is, and why he was called upon his awakening.
And Arthur realizes he'll have to start over with Merlin, hoping those drained memories will make an appearance once again. He just doesn't know if Merlin will ever be the same way again.
