Ellery Brennan is the sole sane person in his village who hasn't tried fey fruit. Lured by wishes and fortune, Ellery has watched everyone he has known descend towards an incurable bestial greed for the fruit.
When it becomes too dangerous to stay in the dysfunctional community, he is rescued by Lizzie, a girl claiming to know how to reverse the fruit's effects. But trust is hard to place on a person you have only met, especially when they appear to know more than let out to be.
