Sally hated begging. She didn't beg her boss not to fire her because she had fallen asleep on the job. (Admitting to having done it more than once didn't help her case at all). She didn't beg her boyfriend -and best friend since middle school - not to break up with her for some girl he had met online. She didn't beg her parents to lend her money, even when she was close to losing her poor-excuse of an apartment. Sally hated people who swallowed their pride and shoved their dignity aside. Still, as she found herself in a police car, with shiny handcuffs around her wrists that looked like expensive bracelets (they probably cost more than her entire fortune, sadly), and a handsome police officer by her side, Sally de Martini -alternatively called Salty Martini - found herself begging the police officers to let her go with just a warning. But let's start from the beginning, shall we?
