Benders: Dragonfire
In a breath, he had bloodied Legolas and infuriated Thranduil. In a breath, he knew pride and hatred. In a breath, Thorin Oakenshield knew an elf would walk beside him, that he would face Smaug with the most unlikely of friends, and perhaps not walk from Erebor with the Arkenstone in his hands. In a breath, he knew dragonfire. Fourth in the Benders Series. *Won Third Place in The Dream Awards 2020 Select side characters, including Brenen, Realn, Mykar, Cinwe, Ellhamier, Ciran, Raileen, and Jaiz belong to me. When Thorin Met Tauriel
In the dungeon of the Elf King, Thorin Oakenshield gets to know the Captain of the Guard, Tauriel, and both their lives are changed forever. Based on information from the book and the upcoming "The Hobbit" movies. Rated G. This is my first fanfic. I wrote it in January/February 2012 because it was going to be a long time until December 2012, and besides, I thought it would be great if Richard Armitage's character had a romance (although I know it's not going to happen). Hope you enjoy!Complete

We know from JRR Tolkien's The Hobbit, that the Dwarves of Durin go on a quest to reclaim their Erebor homeland. But before they uproot their lives--yet again--this short story explores one possible scenario for Thorin Oakenshield's pre-quest life. The question remains, will he leave his new life to go on a quest, or not?Complete

It hardly matters as she has a secret of her own. Passion & romance was the last thing either was looking for...but then again love has a way of finding us in the darkness.
