Arthur has a little bit of a problem...
He is a Witch from the powerful Kirkland Clan- but he has no familiar. His sister decided to give him a push and summon one for him, but things didn't go to plan.

Extract from Chapter 1-
"What went wrong?" Arthur asked patiently.
"Well, they- I mean it didn't like me and escaped." She replied quickly, wincing and waiting for him to yell.
"Did you bond it to me?" he asked calmly, taking a seat in his favourite armchair and picking out one of the largest books from the nearest shelf, summoning it with the flick of his wrist.
"Of course, I did- it's standard procedure isn't it?" She titled her head, not understanding where he was going with this.
"Then it will come to me." He replied, engrossing himself with reading.
Alana sighed in relief, she had just dodged a bullet- she actually didn't know how many familiars she had summoned for him AND she had linked him with ALL of them... She would be in so much trouble when Alistair finds out...

I can't believe I actually submitted it somewhere. They didn't tell me it was bad, but looking back, I cringed. Nevertheless, it was how the backstory came to me. I regret sending it so short, but the website made it sound like they were looking for stories under a certain word count. However, for what it is, I think it still worked out. NOTE: This is set after Bathilde was in the Neo-Jotun Kingdom and French Resistance, but her memories are focused more on family, as that's who reunited with her. 16-year-old Ryan is probably the only orphan in all of England whose parents are still alive. At least, that's what his visions are telling him. When Ryan finds out about a school that no one's ever heard of, he knows that school is somehow the key to finding his parents. But when he finally makes it through the wolf forest to get there, nothing goes as planned. Because there is a reason Ryan grew up separated from his family and the life he should've known. And a reason why it might've been for the best if he'd never found his way back home again. There is already someone expecting his arrival, someones who's ready to risk it all for revenge, and when Ryan wakes up ater being attacked, he's not entirely himself anymore. And whatever has become of him, it's clear that he's now a threat to everyone around him. Turns out Ryans parents are the leaders of a pack of werewolves, deadset on keeping the school and their whole society hidden from humans, and protected from vampires. In this new world, where everyone has a different motive to want him gone, Ryan has to fight for his right to stay with the werewolves and stay in control of his own self, otherwise he'll never see his parents again, and he might just be what causes the destruction of the whole werewolf pack for good. ***** I would say this story is fine for ages 14 and up. This story is finished, but in Swedish ;) It's around 110k words and I have now finished translating it into English! I have currently uploaded more than half of the book (I'd say the midpoint is around chapter 44), and the whole thing will be uploaded probably before August. This story takes place in northern England, and I am obviously not English! So if you are from England, and have some feedback for me regarding use of words and such, please let me know, I greatly appreciate it.Complete
