Ajsa, Slate and Darce are only three of the active "members" of the clinic. i. Ajsa Her best friend Slate is given the 'okay' in leaving the clinic- loving routine and order she's wildly surprised by his abandonment. Having met Darce and her outgoing optimistic viewpoints changed Ajsa for what seems to be the better. ii. Slate He came from a family of poverty, having to deal with his four other siblings was hard enough, but when money gets increasingly tight he struggles to be the "breadwinner" of his dysfunctional family. Landing in the clinic was the best thing that could've happened to him. iii. Darce Coming from parents who ran away from their country under war circumstances puts pressure on Darce to achieve what her parents couldn't. Her mother- being a retired ballerina- dreamed of Darce leaping across stages while her father saw a lawyer in her. Darce struggles to find herself between her parents dreams and heavy expectations for her and ends up in the clinic. Three different characters from three very different pasts end up in the same present.
