~ Sci-Fi Comedy
These are short stories from my collection, 'Chronicles of the Silica G-P Spacecraft.' It centers around a group of beings travelling and working upon the same vessel as it conducts intergalactic research. Despite the technological advances of the future, many of the beings still face a lot of the same everyday issues we face today. Riddled with recurrent jokes, black humor, and philosophy, the stories focus on the individual lives or circumstances of those on the Silica. Some stories are heavier than others.
I'll add a new one or two each week.
Really thankful for reviews and any feedback to develop! =^^=

This is my challenge to myself to get better and more consistent at writing daily. Rules I will upload a part to a story every day. Some stories will be shorter than others and some may continue over multiple days, but I will upload everyday, no matter the quality. Consistency over perfection. Important Some might be good, some might be horrible. Good thing I'm doing this for me and not for you. I'd be grateful for any feedback though, I have a lot to learn.Complete
I Don't Seem So Bright in a Well-Lit Room
"This book speaks to anyone with a neurodivergent brain, that may feel like an alien here on earth. I swear Browning made me laugh and cry and question reality...sometimes all in the same sentence." -JD Todd, author The universe is a very strange place. It will take even stranger heroes to save it. Potto is dim-witted, extremely forgetful and incredibly naïve. He wasn't always this way. Aye-Aye is devilishly shrewd and has boozed his way into a comfortable existence of incompetence and sleaze. How they ended up being two of the most wanted aliens in the galaxy is anyone's guess. Chased down by every oddball bounty hunter in the known universe, and befriended by a libidinous assassin, a fire-breathing reptilian, and a telepathic tree, their misadventures take them past Earth (the mall planet), to a floating sex circus, a planet of killer stuffed animals, an underground spaceship impound lot, and to a planet of reasonably priced bungalows. All while flying around in a ship powered by the brain waves of a psycho killer. A great prophecy proclaims that only "one of light, and one of dark" can save the universe from the dictatorship of The Node. That can't be Potto and Aye...Potto doesn't know what the word prophecy means, and neither know how to spell it. Part sci-fi epic, part absurd dark comedy, I Don't Seem So Bright in a Well-Lit Room is a comment on human behavior, depression, anxiety, and self-esteem. But way more fun than that sounds. So, do up your space seatbelts...it's going to be a bumpy ride. Despite the lack of potholes in space. (Sci-fi /Dark Humour/Absurd) *Completed! Enjoy! Melini
A collection of short stories which are segments of the one story I want to write. I'll add more later once I flesh out the segments. The chapters are somewhat in chronological order. Some stories overlap in their timeline because the endings are different, but they belong to the same segment of the story. It's got aliens, gods, soulmates, wars, reincarnation, time-travelling, prehistoric elements, Historical events, futuristic themes.Complete
Wicked Prompts
This is a collection of short-stories and flash-fiction. Each narrative is complete and independent, and can be read in any order. Although varying in length, they are all relatively short, to present a quick and fun read, while you're on the go. Each one presents a view, theme, or idea to entertain as well as provoke your imagination and critical thinking. The characters are varied and as confused about the ever evolving modern world as the rest of us. They include tales of cyborgs, alien worlds, alternate futures, supernatural transformations, and the spiritual crises and transitions new technologies will demand of our soul. The characters include space nomads, time-traveling detectives, artificial consciousness, and ordinary people grappling with rapid and uncontrollable change. Hope you enjoy!Complete
The Solace Chronicles
Not so long ago, humanity fought the gods above them. The war against the Ethereals was long and bloody, and only the discovery of magic saved humanity from total annihilation. With the fusion of magic and technology, they clawed their way to a stalemate; in time, the war was over. Humanity had secured their freedom...or so they thought. The Ethereal War changed life on Earth forever. The world is now plagued by glyphstorms-- constant, magic-infused dust storms that drive those who linger too long to insanity. Traveling within them is thought to be impossible, and the only shelter comes in the form of magical shield domes over humanity's cities. Progress is rapid, yet isolated to pockets of civilization. In the same world where some people thrive, many others struggle, their spirits kept alive only by the hope of a better future. But the future is uncertain; until humanity can discover the secrets of shield tech and brave the storms that divide them, they will never be truly free. ------- This is a collection of short stories that take place within Solace, a fictional science-fantasy setting I have been working on since January 2025. This is not the mainline story, but may involve side plots, alternate perspectives of story events, etc. Basically this is my way of getting back into writing on Wattpad and having a catch-all for any short stories related to Solace. This will be updated as I go, and I'd love to hear feedback! [This cover is a placeholder and I don't take credit for the art. It was taken from a copyright-free source]
The Vengeance Trilogy.
A trilogy of military hard SciFi short stories, each of which stands on its own but is linked to the earlier parts. Part 1 is my attempt at writing what a battle in space might really be like. Part 2 is - well, as a student of military history, I was struck by how some things in the military life have seemed to be constant over the centuries. Part 3 is the result of trying to imagine what an infantry fire-fight might be like in the 22nd century or beyond. How does technology play into it?Complete

UPDATED AS OF 8/19/17 & SMALL DISCLAIMER: As of the recent update, all swear words are now uncensored. Expect some sassiness from your main protagonist, as well as action and adventure. Have some fun reading! Yes, I like to fly. But I don't like to fly in space without any oxygen. Yes, I like seeing victory. But I don't like to be victorious over a friend and a sibling. Yes, I like to continue living. But if that means staying in the dark for millions of years... It's just not worth it. *~*~*~*~~*~*~* Now is a finished work Original pictures by NASA, edited by me, will work for a new coverComplete
