~ Sci-Fi Comedy

These are short stories from my collection, 'Chronicles of the Silica G-P Spacecraft.' It centers around a group of beings travelling and working upon the same vessel as it conducts intergalactic research. Despite the technological advances of the future, many of the beings still face a lot of the same everyday issues we face today. Riddled with recurrent jokes, black humor, and philosophy, the stories focus on the individual lives or circumstances of those on the Silica. Some stories are heavier than others.
I'll add a new one or two each week.
Really thankful for reviews and any feedback to develop! =^^=

In a distant corner of the universe lies the Flat Planet, a mysterious world where the strongest, smartest, and most resilient from countless species across the galaxy gather for the ultimate test-a high-stakes, intergalactic tournament. When humanity is forcefully dragged into this competition, they are pitted against physically superior alien species, each with unique abilities far beyond their own. But raw power isn't the only key to victory. Strategy, intelligence, and the human spirit will prove just as important. Our story follows Aasir and a group of other handpicked human participants-some desperate to return home, others driven by the thrill of competition-as they navigate a series of increasingly dangerous and unpredictable rounds. From intense physical matches to complex mind games, the humans are constantly tested. Along the way, they uncover the hidden dangers of the tournament: non-participating creatures native to the Flat Planet guard valuable power-ups, resources, and even their very survival. As the tournament progresses, the heroes not only face formidable alien opponents but must also contend with the planet's own hostile environment and inhabitants. With billions watching their every move from Earth, alliances will form, rivalries will grow, and the true nature of the Flat Planet Tournament will be revealed. In this cosmic battle, can humanity overcome the odds and prove that heart and intellect are as powerful as any alien strength? Or will they become yet another species lost to the galaxy's most dangerous game?

But after discovering her planet's long-lost artifact, Jekkh must step into a role she feels unfit for and unite her scattered people across the system. When her assigned bodyguard and some doctor's godniece help her escape, Jekkh is thrust into a whole new world of conspiracy, space travel, and helping the ones in need. Camrun knew he'd never be accepted into the Persythian military even before he got the memo. Struggling to keep his family from being cast off into the deadly gas giant they live on, Camrun must find a way to provide for his family when his father and brother are serving over-systems for their planet. But when a rare opportunity arises to work for the planet's ruling circle, the Deins, Camrun gets thrust into a circle of secrets, espionage, and a possible rebellion. As he continues working to save his family, Camrun soon discovers that it is quite possible that his planet was on the wrong side all along. A campy adventure for all ages.
