Starting highschool without his ex best friend and crush Tsukishima by his side, Yamaguchi struggles with anxiety and finds himself battling his own thoughts. He starts to doubt his decision to distance himself from the tall blond that he'd known the majority of his life, however with Sugawara- his long time internet friend- making a surprise appearance at his high school and his other new friends on the Karasuno volleyball team, Yamaguchi believes he just might survive without Tsukishima.

Until, in a reverse fairy-tale like turn of events, Yamaguchi and Tsukishima find themselves falling into a deeper, more confusing trouble than they had ever faced.
