Callista is an escaped slave. The numbers on her forearm display that fact clearly to Apollo, the captain of a ragtag crew of pirates- and a captain in the navy. His duty is to deliver her back to the kingdom, but he's interrupted by an unexpected attack.
Callista is introduced to the world of Hadas, classified as "humans with abilities." Being an Hada is a crime against the kingdom, as only the royals are supposed to have magic. Suddenly, she's more than a refugee- she's a criminal. Her presence forces Apollo to pick a side, and not all of his crew mates will agree.
